Our Story

Why we built a different kind of specialty office.

Sunset Endodontics was founded around a simple frustration: too many patients arrive at a root canal appointment more afraid of the experience than the toothache itself. Our team set out to build a practice where precision and reassurance aren’t a trade-off — where microscope-guided technique and a calmer patient experience exist in the same appointment.

Today, our endodontists work closely with general dentists across San Francisco and the Sunset District, taking urgent referrals quickly and sending patients back to their regular dentist with clear notes and a tooth worth keeping.

Dr. Christine Tran, DDS

Endodontist

Dr. Tran was a graduate of UCSF School of Dentistry and she received her specialty certificate in Endodontics from UCSF as well. Dr. Tran had practiced general dentistry in Redwood City for 15 years before returning to school to specialize in Endodontics. She has been practicing as an endodontist for the past 15 years and she is also affiliated with the Veterans Administration in SF. Dr. Tran is fluent in Vietnamese and is comfortable speaking Spanish. When given the opportunity, Dr. Tran enjoys traveling with her family.

Dr. Eric Wong, DDS

Endodontist

Dr. Wong was a graduate of UCSF School of Dentistry and he received his specialty certificate in Endodontics from Columbia University in New York City. He has been practicing endodontics for 30 years. In conjunction with his private practice in the Inner Sunset, Dr. Wong had also held a teaching position at UCSF School of Dentistry as a full professor and Division Chair of Endodontics. Dr. Wong is comfortable speaking Cantonese. When given the opportunity, Dr. Wong enjoys traveling with his family.
